Students will write a blog on Padlet to show mastery understanding of "the complex character".
Directions for Students: "A Complex Post"
To be sure, we end tablet five witnessing Gilgamesh and Enkidu triumphantly destroying the Cedar Forest monster "Humbaba", but our story has not reached its ending. Now having analyzed Enkidu or Gilgamesh through the first half of the novel, tablets 1-5 of the book, you will create a blog hypothesizing a possible ending to your initial character. First, your blog must briefly summarize the importance of your initial character. You must describe their roles in the story and their desires, fears, and secrets you discovered while doing your portrait. Then, you must declare a challenge to the class whether their desires, fears, and secrets will change or continue by the end of tablet ten. Following, you must defend your argument by explaining a character from a popular movie or TV show that you believe is similar in personality and conveys the future ending of your initial character. Provide two detailed moments from your new character’s plot that proves they are similar in complexity. Along with this, describe why it is necessary for yours characters to end in such fate. This post must be two paragraphs long and may be completed at home. Please consider using a popular movie character or TV show character that you are extremely familiar with. Please look at the rubric for further information. |
